Öğe ANALYSING THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEVELS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN TERMS OF CERTAIN VARIABLES(IATED-INT ASSOC TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION & DEVELOPMENT, 2011) Coklar, Ahmet Naci; Gunduz, SemseddinThe concept of entrepreneurship is defined as the process of planning, organizing, opportunities and assuming. It may be distinguished as ability to take risk independently to make utmost earnings in the market. It is a creative and innovative skill and adapting response to environment. The aim of this study is to determine the entrepreneurship levels of teacher candidates. Also, the relationships between entrepreneurship levels and certain variables (genders, departments and internet usage frequencies) were analyzed. For this purpose a survey was conducted on the students at the Selcuk University Faculty of Education during the Spring Term in 2010-2011 academic years. The entrepreneurship scale was used in the survey. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test and One-Way Anova as analyzing statistics were carried out, and the significance level was accepted as .05. Finally, the male students have a higher entrepreneur than the female students at the teacher candidates, and also the internet usage frequencies have a significant factor in terms of entrepreneurship levels of students. However, the departments of students are not an important variable for entrepreneurship levels.Öğe The effects of computer assisted instruction practices in computer office program course on academic achievements and attitudes toward computer(ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV, 2011) Korucu, Agah Tugrul; Gunduz, SemseddinThe purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of computer assisted instruction practices in computer office program course on academic achievements and attitudes toward computer among vocational high school students. This study was conducted on junior students in Beysehir Vocational High School in the spring term during 2009 and 2010 educational year. Two classes consisting of students with equal University Entrance Exam points and from the same type of points were chosen for the study. These classes were divided randomly as experimental and control groups. The study was conducted on 70 students in total in experimental and control groups. Before the study was conducted, both groups were given an achievement test and a scale of attitude toward computer, which were prepared in accordance with the acquisitions of "Efficient Presentation Preparation Techniques" in computer classes. In the experimental group, computer-assisted instruction practices prepared for this purpose were carried out, while in the control group, the lesson is covered in the traditional way. In the analysis of the study data, percentage, frequency, arithmetical mean, standard deviation and t test were used. The significance level was adopted as .05 trust level in the study. In all the statistical analyses, SPSS 15.0 package programs were utilized. At the end of the study, it was seen that the academic achievement of the students who received computer assisted instruction practices were higher than those who received traditional instruction practices. No significant differences were found in their attitudes towards computer in the experimental and control groups. (c) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. The survey was conducted on the students at the Selcuk University Beysehir Vocational Training High School during the Spring Term in 2008-2009. The attitude-towards-the internet scale, which was developed by Zhang was used in the survey. During the study, arithmetic mean, standard diversion, t test and variance analysis were carried out, and the significance level was accepted as .05. At the end of the survey, it was found that the male students had a higher inclination towards the internet than the female students at the vocational training high school, and that the students that were pleased with the school environment had also a higher inclination towards the internet than those that weren't.
