dc.description.abstractAmaç: Bu çalışmada, Carnoy ve % 10'luk formalin tespit solüsyonlarının kolon mukozal ve submukozal mast hücrelerinin kantitatif değerlendirilmesindeki rollerinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Yöntem: Materyaller her iki solüsyon ile ayrı ayrı tespit edildikten sonra 5 m m kalınlığında kesitler alınıp toluidin mavisi ile boyanarak lamina propria ve submukozadaki mast hücre sayıları kantitatif olarak karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Carnoy solüsyonu ile hazırlanan preparatlarda formalin ile hazırlananlara nazaran lamina propria ve submukozada daha fazla mast hücresi sayıldı. Sonuç: Carnoy tespit solüsyonunun mukozal mast hücrelerini % 10'luk formalinden daha iyi tespit ettiği sonucuna varıldı.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjective: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the role of Carnoy's and 10% formaldehyde fixatives on quantitative evaluation of colon mucosal and submucosal mast cells. Methods: The tissue specimens were fixed in both Carnoy's and 10% formaldehyde separately, sectioned and stained with toluidin blue. Mast cells were counted in lamina propria and submucosa and compared with each other. Results: More mast cells have been counted in lamina propria and submucosa by fixing the tissues with Carnoy's fixative than fixing with 10% formaldehyde Conclusion: Carnoy's fixative is better than 10% formaldehyde solution for mucosal mast cells.en_US
