Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenlerinin Denetim Odağının Bazı Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi

Denetim odağı kişinin olayları yönlendirme odağı biçiminde açıklanabilir. Bir çok kişilik özelliği gibi denetim odağının temelleri de çocukluk yıllarına dayanmaktadır. Çocuğun günlük olaylardaki davranışları sonucu anne-baba ve öğretmeni gibi yakın çevresindeki kişilerden aldığı ödül ve cezalarla denetim odağı eğilimi belirlenebilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin denetim odağı düzeylerini bazı değişkenlere göre karşılaştırmaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Osmaniye ilinde görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya dahil edilen 58 beden eğitimi öğretmeninin 44’ü erkek ve 14’ü bayandı. Öğretmenlerin denetim odağını belirlemek amacıyla Rotter İç-Dış Denetim Odağı Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin denetim odağı puanlarını arasında yaş, cinsiyet, medeni durum, ilk ve orta öğretimini yaptığı yerleşim birimi, çocuk sayısı ve anne eğitim düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık olmadığı, baba eğitim düzeyi ve hizmet süresinde ise anlamlı farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Locus of control may be taken into consideration as an individual guiding way of event. Like many of the characteristic properties, the fundamental of control is also based on the individual’s childhood. Rewards and punishment are given to children by their parents, teachers and others in the manner of the locus of control. The present study examined the effect of differrent variables on physical education teachers’ locus of control. The sample was physical education teachers who was to officiate on Osmaniye. The sample of the study consisted of 58 pyhsical education teachers; 44 of them were male and 14 were female. As measurement instruments "Internal-External Locus of Control Scale" developed by Rotter (1966) and “Data Collection Form” were used. In analysing data, "t" test and one way ANOVA statistical techniques had been used. The results of this study showed that there was no difference between the children’s locus of control and mothers’ educational levels, age, sex, marital status and the education level of mother. Depending on father’s educational status and experience as teacher were found to have statistically significant diffrerent locus of control points.
