TO the, Editor: We describe a practical slide test (STI that can be used to determine plasma fibrinogen level (PFL) approximately hoping that it will be useful in medical practice. The study was done on 120 sublects. 97 of whom were sutfering from various disease\ and 13 of whom were healthy. Atter drawing venous blood samples ST was applied and PFL was assayed using a commercial kil (Fibri-Prest, Diagnostica Stago. France) prepared according to the Clauss method 1 I]. Furtherniore the same test was applied on the serum and EDTA-anticoagulated blood plasma samples of subjects
