| dc.description.abstract | Osmanlıların ikinci başkenti olan Edirne, anıtsal mimarisi ile dikkati çeken bir kenttir. Bu mimarinin içinde su yapıları ayrı bir yer tutar. Osmanlılar kenti aldıktan sonra kentin imarına önem vermişler, bu maksatla kentin çeşitli mahallelerinde su yapıları inşa etmişlerdir. Çeşmeler anıtsal mimarinin yanında küçük ölçekli olmasına karşılık, kent tarihi ve kentsel dokunun gelişimi hakkında bizlere bilgiler verir. Son yıllarda Osmanlı Dönemi çeşmeleri ile ilgili çalışmaların artması sevindiricidir. Bu çalışmalar yeterli olmasa da Osmanlı Su Mimarisi hakkında bizlere bilgiler vermiştir. Edirne çeşmeleri hakkında bu güne kadar ayrıntılı bir analiz ve değerlendirme ise yapılmamıştır. ?Edirne Çeşmeleri? isimli bu tez çalışmasında, Edirne il merkezi sınırları içinde kalan Osmanlı Dönemine ait çeşmeler ele alınmıştır. Böylece Edirne kent merkezinin tarihi süreç içinde kazandığı, su mimarisinin önemli bir parçası olan çeşmeler belgelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada Edirne şehir merkezinde 62 adet çeşme tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen bu çeşmelerin kendi içlerinde tipolojik gruplara ayrılarak genel bir değerlendirmesi yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Edirne'deki çeşme mimarisinde görülen farklı tasarım ve yapı özelliklerinin tespiti yapılmaya çalışılmış, çeşmelerde görülen süsleme programı hakkında detaylı bilgi verilmiş ve Edirne Çeşmelerinin Osmanlı Çeşme mimarisi içindeki yeri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Edirne, which is the second capital of Ottomans, is a city attracting the attention of its monumental architecture. Among these are the water constructions that have a different place. After taking over the city, Ottomans attached great significance to the reconstruction of the city and thus, they built water constructions in various districts of the city. Though fountains are of low scale when compared to monumental architecture, they give information to us about the history of the city and the development of urban texture. In recent years, it is pleasing that the studies concerning the fountains in Ottoman Period have increased. However, up to now there has been no anaylsis or evaluation made about the fountains in Edirne. In this study, named as ?Edirne Fountains?, the fountains inside the borders of Edirne city which belong to Ottoman Period have been examined. Therefore, the fountains which are an important part of water architecture and gained by the historical process of the city centre of Edirne, have been documented. In this study, 62 fountains have been established in the city centre of Edirne. After having classified these fountains into typological groups among each other, we tried to make a general review. Different designs and features of structure seen in the fountain architecture of Edirne has been explained; the adorning programme seen in the fountains have been mentioned in detail and the place of Edirne Fountains in Ottoman Fountain architecture has been tried to determine. | en_US |
