dc.description.abstractAkciğerde tip-ll pnömositler tarafından salgılanan ve yapısı itibariyle % 90'ını lipidlerin oluşturduğu surfaktan sistemi, yüzey gerilimini azaltan, anti-ödematóz etkili ve gaz alış-verişini kolaylaştıran bir komplexdir. Özellikle fötal gelişime paralel olarak surfaktanın bileşimi de değişiklik gösterir ve akciğeri doğum sonrası respirasyona hazırlar. Surfaktan yetersizliği, özellikle yeni doğan yavrularda önemli ve öldürücü respirator problemlere yol açar. Erişkinlerde ise pek çok akciğer hastalığında surfaktan miktarı ve bileşiminde belirgin değişiklikler meydana gelir.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this article, the importance of surfactant system in animals and human beings was reviewed. The sur- factant is synthesized by pneumonocyte type-II in the lung and consists mainly of lipids (90%). This complex substance have an important role in reduction of surface tension, anti-edematous effect and facilitates air exchanges in alveoli. The composition of surfactant varies parallel with foetal development and it prepares the lung for postnatal respiration. Particularly in newborn child and animals, the surfactant deficiency causes important and fatal respiratory problems. On the other hand, many respiratory diseases can cause some changes in composition and quantity of surfactant in adults.en_US
