Chronic diseases and associated problems deteriorate the quality of life in populations with increased numbers of elderly individuals. They also increase nursemaids' work and the costs. Here we report the case of a patient, K.S., aged 76 years, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 5 years ago because of lack of strength and shaking of hands. Patient care was performed using the Roy Adaptation Model and cared-considered using this model. The purpose of the research was care-consideration and preparation of a care plan using the Roy Adaptation Model. Data were obtained using the face-to-face method. After obtaining approval from the patient, physical examination and determination of the issue were performed. Before the visit, an education plan was prepared because of the education level of the patient. Nutrition, education, and exercise charts were created and used to train the patient. Six visits were made every 2 weeks. Each visit was nearly for 2 hours, and videos were watched by care members for performing exercises correctly. After the first visit, all exercises were performed with the help of care members. If there was a mistake in performing the exercise, care members corrected the same. Consent was obtained from the patient and patient's family. After the process, the patient was more willing to perform exercises, and the nutrition plan also increased the patient's motivation. Our results indicate that the Roy Adaptation Model can be used for patient care and for increasing the patients' orientation period. In addition, home visit increases patient motivation.en_US
