| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada Belgesel Sinemanın başlangıç yıllarında ortaya çıkan, genelde şehir senfonileri ve özelde Dziga Vertov’un Kameralı Adam (Chelovek s kino apparatom, 1929) filmindeki estetiğin ve anlatının günümüzdeki izi sürülmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma, dönemin toplumsal ve politik olaylarının Belgesel Sinemaya yansımasını inceleyerek, sonraki dönemlerde yeniden ve hangi şartlarda, nasıl aktarıldığını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Vertov’dan günümüze kadar gelen sinema dilinin izsürümü geniş bir kapsam olması nedeniyle iki farklı çözümleme yöntemini gerekli kılmıştır. İlk kullanılan yöntem, Kameralı Adam ve onu takip eden filmlerin tarihle bağıntısı göz önüne alındığında Tarihsel Eleştiridir. Benzer estetiğe ve anlatıya sahip oldukları düşünüldüğünde Andrew Sarris’in üç halkalı değer ölçüsüne uygun Auteur Eleştirisi ikinci yöntem olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma ‘sine göz’ kuramının yaratıcısı Dziga Vertov’un öne sürdüğü sinema anlayışı ve onun eserleriyle benzerlik gösteren akımlar, yönetmenler ve 1980’li yıllarda ortaya çıkan Godfrey Reggio, Ron Fricke ve filmleri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; yönetmen Ron Fricke, teknik açıdan ilham verici, stil, görsel ve anlatısal nitelik bakımından özgün, duygu ve düşüncelerini görsel açıdan dışa vuran Auteur bir yönetmen olarak Dziga Vertov’u hatırlatır. Vertov’la başlayan kuramsal hareket, Frike’in belgeselleriyle hala devam etmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In this study, it has been tried to trace the contemporary aesthetics and narratives of the city symphonies in general and Dziga Vertov’s Man With A Movie Camera (Chelovek s kino-apparatom, 1929) in particular, which emerged in the early years of documentary cinema. The study aims to reveal the reflection of the social and political events of the period on documentary cinema, and to address under what conditions and how these socio-political events were re-transmitted in the following periods. The wide scope of the back tracking the language of cinema from Vertov to the present day necessitated two different analysis methods. The first method used is Historical Criticism, given the historical relevance of Man With A Movie Camera and the films that followed it. Considering having similar aesthetics and narratives, Auteur Criticism in accordance with Andrew Sarris's three-ring value measure was also determined as the second method. The study is limited to the movements and directors that are similar to the cinema understanding and works of Dziga Vertov, the creator of the 'Cine-eye' theory, especially to Godfrey Reggio, Ron Fricke, and their films that emerged in the 1980s. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, Ron Fricke reminds Dziga Vertov as a technically inspiring director, original in terms of style, visual and narrative quality, and he is an Auteur director who expresses his feelings and thoughts visually. The theoretical movement that started with Vertov still continues with Frike's documentaries. | en_US |
