Tedarik zincirinde bilginin paylaşımında ortaya çıkan aksaklıklar zincirde aksamalara ve verimsizliklere neden olur; aşırı stok yatırımları ortaya çıkar, abartılı sipariş seviyeleri ve maliyetlerin yükselmesine neden olan talep dalgalanmaları oluşur.
