| dc.description.abstract | Bu yazıda, önceden sağlıklı 70 yaşında bir kadında gelişen streptokok etkenli toksik şok sendromu bildirilmiştir. Olguda giriş yolu deri idi ve ani olarak ateş, hipotansiyon, nekrotizan fasiit, akut renal yetmezlik ve trombositopeni gelişmişti. Yüzeyel deri lezyonu ve dokudan alınan örnekte A Grubu beta-hemolitik streptokok izole edildi. Olgu, acil cerahi debridman ve antibiyotik sağaltımına karşın yatışının ikinci gününde kaybedildi. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, streptococcal toxic shock syndrome in a 70-year-old woman who was previously healthy, is reported. The case, showing route of cutaneous entry, suddenly developed hypotension, necrotizing fasciitis, acute renal failure and thrombocytopenia. Group A \beta-hemolytic Streptococcus was isolated in the specimens taken from the superficial skin lesion and tissue. Despite immediate surgical debridement and antimicrobial therapy, the patient died on the second day of her admission. | en_US |
