dc.description.abstractAmaç: Psikiyatri polikliniğine başvuran konversiyon bozukluğu tanısı konmuş hastaların sosyodemografik ve klinik özelliklerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem; Bu çalışmada psikiyatri polikliniğine Ocak 2001-Ocak 2003 tarihleri arasında başvuran ve DSM-IV tanı ölçütlerine göre konversiyon bozukluğu tanısı almış olan 232 hastanın poliklinik kartları incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmaya alınan hastaların % 85.4'ünün kadın, % 60.3'ünün ilkokul mezunu, % 65.Tinin evli, % 59.9'unun ev hanımı olduğu, % 52.2'sinin kentte oturduğu bulunmuştur. Hastaların % 66.4'ünde psikososyal stres, % 6.9'unda soy geçmişte konversiyon bozukluğu bulunduğu öğrenilmiştir. Hastaların % 48.7'sinde eşlik eden bir psikiyatrik bozukluk saptanmıştır. Bunların % 25.9'u depresyon, % 15.5'i anksiyete bozukluğu tanısı almıştır. Kinik alt tiplere bakıldığı zaman, katılmalar ya da konvulsiyonlarla giden tip (% 38.4) ilk sırada yer alırken bunu mikst tip ve duyusal belirti ya da kaybı gösteren (% 37 ve% 16.4) tip izlemiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada konversiyon bozukluğu olan hastaların çoğunluğunun kadın ve ilkokul mezunu olduğu bulunmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjective: In this study it was aimed to investigate the sociodemographic and clinical features of outpatients with conversion disorder who were administered to the psychiatry department. Method: The .study was carried out at the outpatient clinic of the psychiatry department between January 2001-January 2003. The polyclinic charts of 232 outpatients who were diagnosed with conversion disorder according to DSM-IV criteria were examined retrospectively. Results: In this study 85.4% of the patients were women, 60.3% of the patients were graduated from primary school, 65.1% of the patients were married, 59.9% of the patients were housewives and 52.2% of the patients were living in the urban area. 66.4% of the patients had a psychosocial stress, 6.9% of the patients had a family history of conversion disorder. 48.7% of the patients were comorbid psychiatric disorder. Of these 25.9% had depression and 15.5% had anxiety disorder. The most frequent subtype of conversion disorder was those with seizures or convulsions (38.4%). The next most frequent subtypes of conversion disorder were mixed type and the type with sensory symptoms or sensory loss (37% and 16.4%, respectively). Conclusion: Results of this study demonstrated that most of patients with conversion disorder were women and graduates of primary school.en_US
