Clinical and Radiographical Analysis of Single-Tooth Replacement with Swissplus Implant System

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide a report of experience and results with Swissplus implant system used for single-tooth treatment. Materials and Methods: 62 single-tooth implants (30 maxilla, 32 mandible) were placed in 42 patients (22 females, 20 males; aged between 20 to 69 with a mean age of 38.6 ± 13.2 years) over a period of 30 months. All crowns were cemented on standard abutments. The follow-up time varied between 3 to 30 months. Radiographical bone loss, peri-implant soft tissue conditions including gingival index, plaque index and pocket depths have been evaluated Results: One implant (%1.61) was lost before loading. 5 crowns (% 8.1) were recemented due to the loosing. Peri-implant soft tissue conditions were satisfactory. Pocket depths were 2.8 ± 1.4 mm and bone resorption was 0.8 ± 0.4 mm over a period of 30 months. Discussion: Based upon a clinical study of 62 single tooth implants placed over a period of 30 months an implant survival rate of %98.4 was observed. With a %98.4 survival rate of Swissplus implant system in single-tooth replacement were satisfactory.

Amaç; Bu çalışmanın amacı tek diş eksikliğinde swissplus implant sistemi kullanımına ait sonuçların klinik ve radyolojik olarak değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ue Yöntem: Tek diş eksikliği olan 42 hastaya (20-69 yaşları arasında (ortalama yaş 38,8 13,2) 22 kadın, 20 erkek) toplam62 implant 30 aylık bir dönem içinde yerleştirilmiştir. Tüm kronlar standart dayanaklar üzerine semente edilmiştir. Takip süresi 3-30 ay arasında değişmektedir. Radyografik olarak kemik kaybı, gingival indeks, plak indeksi ve cep derinliğinden oluşan peri-implant yumuşak doku kontrolleri yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar: Bir implant yüklemeden önce kaybedilmiştir (%1,61). Beş kron (%8,1) gevşeme nedeniyle tekrar semente edilmiştir. Peri-implant yumuşak doku sağlığı tatmin edici bulunmuştur. 30 ay sonunda ortalama cep derinliği 2.8 1.4 mm ortalama kemik rezorbsiyonu ise 0.8 0.4 mm bulunmuştur. Tartışma: Tek diş eksikliğinin söz konusu olduğu durumlarda 30 ay dönem sonunda yerleştirilen ve takip edilen 62 implantlık bu klinik çalışama sonucunda %98.4'lük implant başarısı elde edilmiştir. Swissplus implant sistemi kullanılarak elde edilen bu %98.4'lük başarıya dayanarak sistemin tek diş eksikliğinin tedavisinde kullanımının uygun olabileceği söylenebilir.
