dc.description.abstractAmaç: Adult Diabetes Mellituslu hastalarda anormal karaciğer fonksiyon testleri ile hepatomegali ve steatoz sıklığını araştırmayı amaçladık.. Yöntem: Selçuk Üniversitesi Meram Tıp Fakültesi Endokrinoloji polikliniğine başvuran ardışık 68 Diabetes Mellituslu hasta değerlendirmeye alındı. Bulgular: 34 hastada (%50) alanin aminotransferaz, aspartat aminotransferaz, gamaglutamil transpeptidaz ve alkalen fosfataz değerlerinden biri veya birkaçı yüksek bulundu. Bu vakaların 26'smda (%76,4) steatoz. Tinde (%2,9) siroz, 2'sinde (% 5,8) kronik viral hepatit saptandı. Sonuç: Diabetes Mellituslu hastalarda kan şekeri regülasyonu bozuksa ve hastalık 10 yılını doldurmuşsa karaciğer steatozu ve hepatomegali sıklığı artmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractAim: We aimed to observe abnormal liver function tests, the frequency of hepatomegaly and hepatosteatosis in diabetic patients. Methods: Sixty-eight consecutive diabetic patients admitting to outpatient Clinics of Endocrinology and Metabolism division Meram Medical Faculty were evaluated for liver function test abnormalities. Findings: Levels of alanine aminotranspherase, aspartate aminotranspherase, gamma glutamyl transpeptidase and alkaline phosphatase were studied. One or more were found to be elevated in 34 (%50) patients. Of these 34 cases, steatosis was diagnosed in 26 patients (76,4%) , cirrhosis in 1 (2,9%), chronic viral hepatitis in 2 (5,8%). Five patients were HbsAg positive (7,3%) and three were positive for HCV (anti HCV positive) (%4,4). Results: Frequency of hepatosteatosis and hepatomegaly is increased in patients with poorly controlled and long-duration diabetes.en_US
