Medicinal Plants with AntiAging Effect Cultivated in Our Country

Since ancient times the herbal drugs have been used in Turkey for different purposes, such as food, drug, perfumery, and cosmetics. For herbal products, it is necessary to establish good agriculture practice to ensure appropriate and consistent quality of medicinal plant. Because medicinal plants have physiologically strong effects as on human organism, all the steps from plant to drug must be controlled until they reach at consumer. Cultivation conditions such as climate, soil, fertilizer, and irrigation influence the effective compounds such as essential oil, flavonoid, alkaloid, glycoside, and vitamin, In this study, in our country, properties of the medicinal plants cultivated in our country and used for antiaging effects have been investigated.
