dc.description.abstractAnıtsal dikdörtgen prizma kitleleriyle Türk-İslam sanatında kütle biçimlenişinin belirgin öğelerinden birisi olan taçkapılar, farklı tasarımlarıyla yapıların egemen öğesi haline gelmiştir. Dini mimaride Cennet kapısı olarak görülen taçkapılar, İslam mimarlığında uygulanan kapı düzenlemesi geleneğine bağlı bir şekilde gelişme göstermiştir. Özellikle mukarnas öğeleriyle biçimlenen niş örtülü taçkapı tasarımı Osmanlı dönemi yapılarında tutarlı bir gelişme göstermiştir. Osmanlı dönemi cami tasarımında en gösterişli ve anıtsal taçkapı örneklerini sultanların veya hanım sultanların inşa ettikleri camilerde görmek mümkündür. Bunun yanısıra önemli devlet adamları tarafından yaptırılan camilerde de bazen oldukça anıtsal taçkapı tasarımlarını görmek mümküdür. dc.description.abstractWith their monumental rectangular prism bulks, the portals are one of the prominent elements of bulk formation of Turkish-Islamic art and they have become the dominant element of the structures with their different designs. The portals,which are considered as gate of paradise in religious architecture, have developed depending on gate arrangement tradition in religious architecture. The niche-covered portal design, especially shaped by muqarnas items, showed a consistent development during the Ottoman period. In the mosque design of the Ottoman period, it is posisble to see the most flamboyant and monumental samples of the portals in the mosques built by the sultans or sultanas. Besides, it is also possible to see quite monumental portals in the mosques built by important statesmen. One of these structures is Afyon Gedik Ahmet Paşa Mosque Portal.en_US
