The Opinions of the Teachers in Upper Primary Classes Concerning the Student Performance Tasks

This study contains the opinions of 20 upper primary classroom teachers in Konya province concerning the students' performance tasks emphasized in the new curricula being applied in our country beginning from the 2005-2006 school year. Interview technique was used to collect data from the teachers in this survey study through five open-ended questions. The results showed that the teacher believe in the benefits of the student performance tasks and, therefore, they use them in evaluations of the students. However, the teachers also reported many problems and offered some changes regarding the implementation and evaluation of the student performance tasks.

Bu çalışma Konya ilinde görev yapan 20 ilköğretim birinci kademe sınıf öğretmenin, 2005-2006 öğretim yılıyla birlikte ülkemizde uygulanan yeni eğitim programının içerisinde yer alan öğrencilerin performans görevlerine ilişkin, görüşlerini kapsamaktadır. Görüşme tekniğinin kullanıldığı araştırmada veriler tarama yoluyla 5 açık uçlu soru ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonunda öğretmenlerin performans görevlerinin yararına inandıkları ve bu nedenle performans görevlerini öğrenci değerlendirmesinde kullandıklarını belirtmişledir. Fakat yapılan değişikliklere rağmen öğrenci performans görevlerinin uygulanması ve değerlendirilmesinde birçok sorunla karşılaşıldığı ortaya çıkmıştır.
